yes i am
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I like sobriety (apart from the self loathing that comes with it) but I've been a functional alcohol abuser for 4 years. I quit smoking having wasted 7 years as a stoner. Yep, I'm no stranger to self medicating in a bid to cope with my issues. I've decided to go sober today (29th October). I can live sober easily and readily enough. I just need to find fill the void of boredom...maybe if I find a large enough dildo...
PC's. Whilst I've never had a formal education in IT I'm pretty well versed in computers. This is mainly through a lot of trial and error over the years. I like to build my own gaming PC's - it's something I've invested thousands on over the years I've been gaming. Unfortunately I often spend way too long on my computer. Life is about balance - something I have a little trouble mastering.
Art - I draw really weird and busy pictures. Haven't sold anything yet. I had a couple of exhibitions for my work but no bites yet. I might sell them one day. But I don't mind if it doesn't happen any time soon.
Cars - I've owned 9 in under 10 years of driving. Each one was faster than the last...until my most recent purchase. I bought a house recently with my girlfriend and had to ditch the ST180 for a sensible and economical car. I figured I'd rather not spend £250 a month on fuel in a fast car that encourages me to drive like a complete tool. So I opted for a meagre 900cc engine car that gets 66 mpg. I plan to eventually get a weekend/day off car so I can get over the fact I own a feeble daily driver that's slower than watching paint dry...
Music - I've collected thousand upon thousand of songs in the past 10-15 years. Initially I was a metal head. Then it expanded into all sorts of genres. From breakcore and gabber to jazz and new retro wave. There's a few genres I really don't get along with. I don't enjoy most mainstream pop and radio stations. My car's radio is tuned into JazzFM and I intend to keep it that way :)
Fire staffing - I like to do contact staffing with a big metal staff
Animals - who doesn't love them? On the flip side nature can be pretty brutal and upsetting.
Sex - well, what man doesn't? It has to have meaning though - I've never had a one night stand. I don't find that sort of behaviour commendable.
Food - I've managed to reel in my hunger for bad foods...mainly since I quit smoking weed. But I still love to over indulge and eat out.
Suits - I love how I look and feel in my 3 piece suits.
Quality - I never have many wants in life - but what I like and buy is always high quality and very expensive.
Porn - horny porno. Yes, it's soul destroying, disgusting and detrimental to mental health and yes I have to put in on mute to try and subdue the shame. Porn has lead me to dislike American accents...strange.
Photography - I love taking photos. I prefer taking photos of nature. Landscapes, close ups and animals etc. I think we all tend to own a smart phone these days and photos of people are here there and everywhere. I struggle to consider photography an art form though. Whilst I use manual settings on my DSLR I think that anyone given the camera and location could come up with similar pictures. But not many people could paint the Mona Lisa.
Tea and coffee are always a big plus and very comforting.
Long walks through the middle of nowhere. I find nature overwhelms my senses.
Bass - my eyes were open to this wonderful addition to music and gaming when I bought my first 5.1 speaker system. These days I struggle to tolerate music played through poor quality speakers or headphones.
Cacti - what wonderful and exotic looking plants they are. They're easy to look after and I've been building a collection of them over the past 15 years.
