Hey all, I had my gallbladder removed in 2010. They said that it was as bad as a someone in their sixties (I was twenty at the time). At the time, I thought removing it was the best decision. Anyway,…Continue
"My primary goal is the be happy. So, I find things that feel as though they help me get that better. Raw foods, exercise, meditation, and visualization being my big ones, along with others like art (acting, writing, etc.)"
"Well first of all, thank you all for your replies, they were all helpful!
Edvin, do you still get pain? And if so, what is it like? And, where is it located?
I'll definately look into Ellen Livingston, so thanks for that Emily!"
"The gallbladder stores bile salts that are used to emulsify fat into small droplets, so it can be broken down and the small intestines can absorb the fat. When you eat something high in fat the gallbladder pumps the bile salts into the small…"
"Hey David, interesting post. I am also in this sad position. Got mine removed at the age of 19 (I'm 21 now), not by choice but by attack. One summer day I was headed to my summer job on the bus and suddenly started feeling dizzy. My breathing…"
Congrats on taking care of yourself. Both my mother and my partner are SAD eaters and have their gall bladders removed and they get sick to their stomach whenever they eat high fat meals so I would think that 80/10/10 is the perfect diet…"

It all started about three years ago. I learned the ways of the raw foods the hard way when I decided to take out my gallbladder due to being in immense pain (they said it was so bad and full of stones that it resembled the gallbladder of an old person).
After the surgery, the pain persisted, so I started looking for the deep answers. That is when I found raw foods.
I went a year on dirty, gourmet raw with moderate success, but then went back into SAD. Well, now I'm back! I've read 80/10/10, and really want to learn more about the community aspect of it. You see, I'm all alone down here in Southern Oregon. Do you know how hard it is to find like minded people to talk to about this raw thing? Very hard! Especially for my age range. So will you please allow me to post here and learn more :)
