Hi guys, I'm brand new to the vegan lifestyle. In fact, I technically haven't started yet. I'm 24, and I was obese throughout most of college. I desperately need to do something for my health before…Continue

Hi all,

I'm a 24-yo college graduate. I work a fairly paltry job making under $25,000 annually. Ever since university, I have struggled with my weight. Most of it has been due to my choices of food, but also because of my sedentary lifestyle. But they are really two sides of the same coin because I feel too self-conscious and sluggish to get the exercise I need.

I am 5'10", or I guess about 1.7 meters tall. I weigh about 265 lbs., or 120 kilos. I've tried several fad diets including Atkins (multiple times) and Paleo, but they are unsustainable.

I found Raw Till 4 about five days ago and have probably watched 90% of Freelee's videos and 50% of Harley's. I am desperate to make this change. My body feels overwhelming anticipation to end the disgusting habit of junk food and semi-healthy food and all the other things that have perpetuated my obesity.

Religiously, I have always believed that fruit ought to be humanity's primary food source. But I bought into the media hype saying that such a diet was unhealthy today, and I figured it was just a pipe dream for me. But then I found RT4, and I realized that some people CAN make it work. I am so excited to try for myself.

However, I have absolutely no idea where to begin. I have student loans that are double my annual income. I have very little disposable income at the moment. I am looking for a better-paying job so I can fund this lifestyle, but in the meantime, what can I do?

I want to join this board so I can get support and advice from others—particularly Americans—who can help me navigate this financially so I can make this lifestyle work without breaking the bank.

Thank you.
