I grew up in the middle of the ocean, in the Galapagos islands, surrounded by wild undisturbed nature and gorgeous blue waters. I currently work as a naturalist tour guide in here, and by observation and interaction with all these animals in their natural settings, throughout the years I couldn't help but to start wondering what is our true place as humans in the natural cycles of this planet,... and what began as an inquisitive search for our niche, very easily turned into an spiritual quest that has taken me through exploring all sorts of amazing lifestyles in different places and cultures ...and along the way life sent me all sorts of messengers that helped me evolve... and the story is long. But, back to food... what a creature eats and does defines its life on this planet... and all populations of beings are living along with their designs except for us humans. I believe that as a more evolved species we have a huge responsibility to take care of these other creatures and more than anything ourselves, bringing back to balance our most immediate material possession in this world, our own body, our true home and temple. And here I am!! with nothing but good intentions hahaha. Initially without even knowing about this new movement i began to have all fruit meals... because i studied the TAO and it just felt right!, of course i had already been a pescetarian and then a vegetarian and eating lots of raw goods for quite a while, but this year! when the time was ripe!, I received a wonderful message from this australian girl that had visited the islands before.... she confirmed what i had already been sort of doing and feeling inside... that I could actually sustain myself entirely on the sweet and happy life of a frugivore! freaking excellent news!! and so it was that she sent me Frelee's book "Go Fruit Yourself"... and so I did!... and have been fruiting around for a few months now. And I can assure you that among the nearly 25000 people living in these islands, I am the only one that eats like this!!... even to find vegetarians is extremely rare here!... I know of 3 I think... most people around here have a meat based diet and actually think something bad is going to happen to you if you stop eating it, so you can imagine how they look at me when I tell them how I eat.... anyways.. I may be alone here on this but it is impossible to feel lonely when you start experiencing a connection with nature in your body and feeling the full potential of your existence. Of course sites like this one are extremely helpful and I actually have been searching around for info in the 30BAD forums for a while before joining. SO... happy to be here and I want to be part of this team!! connect with people and spread blessings!

Welcome to the group. I'm alone in this lifestyle too where I live. It definatly helps to have support from like minded people. I must say that I'm jealous of where you live. I'm up in the Great Lake regon of the US and sure we get truckloads of local blue berries, peaches, and apples but nothing compares to fresh tropical fruits.
To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
