I'm an actor, martial artist, personal trainer, fitness and nutrition enthusiast, and Japanese translator living in Los Angeles. I've been searching for more than a decade answers to my chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, and general lack of connection to the rest of the world which was killing my opportunities to excel and thrive in anything I was working at, and blocked me from truly being myself which is paramount for my profession. I had poor digestion, and I began to develop a lack of drainage in my head, followed by reoccurring ear infections and my voice went to shit.

This took me through various modalities of exercise, psychology, spirituality, "spirituality", bizarre religious and magical thinking, and nutrition, among other things. I slowly waded through the torrential flood of sense and nonsense, cleaning up my life trying everything I could including a bunch of things I didn't believe in because it didn't matter to me what worked just that something did. Through cutting meat, dairy, eggs, trying vitamins, powders, super-foods, and nothing gave me the support, energy, I was looking for. Then something clicked with Graham's book and my experience as a trainer and nutrition studies, so I went from listening to people tell me not to eat too much fruit, to eating mostly fruit mono meals and within a few days realized this was the real thing. Only a few weeks, but no more cravings for junk (especially ice cream), my head is clearing of both mucus and fog, my exercises are steadily improving, my sleep is better, and I can finally eat all the food I want and need without my stomach getting mad at me.

Although its only been a very short time eating this way I feel like this is the first sustainable addition to my overly complicated lifestyle and I hope it keeps bearing fruit as I continue on. Pun intended.

I'm a bit daunted by the volume of fruit you have to eat. I've had digestive difficulty for more than a decade so I haven't been able to down a significant volume of food. So far so good though, I've been eating more calories per day than I usually do and its getting easier to digest.

I just have no ability to judge how much I should be able to down at one time. I've heard of people eating 40 dates as a meal and I can't get passed 10 before I need to slow down and take a break from them. I tried to eat half a watermelon and halfway through that my right shoulder began to ache and by sternum was in a lot of pain. I just don't see how can eat enough volume to get enough food... at least not yet. Love greens though, and love the variety of fruit thats opening up before me that I've never explored before.
