My whole life I was tiny. I am 5.4 and was 115 until age 35. Since age 35 I've started to have difficulties running as much as I used to and feel sluggish and any slight thing I eat puts on weight. I went up 30 pounds and can't wear any of my clothes. I had a baby a few years ago and within one year got down to pre-preg weight on Michael Thurmond, which was a lot of pressure and work. Most of my life I have not wanted to eat meat because of the suffering associated with it. Nonetheless I was determined to lose the weight and followed the diet (including meat) to a tee. As I said, it worked but It was not sustainable. I hated the diet so much I started having crying spells and had to quit. I went back to meat free but haven't yet got back the energy to start up my two mile a day run again, and the weight came back. My 20's I ate a lot of bananas. They are cheap and I like them. My first husband though actually used to yell at me for eating them. He told me I would gain wait. I radically changed my eating habits to avoid his yelling and of course - I had intuitively been eating right from the start. We got divorced and I got a new husband (the one I had the baby with). I just want to recover from this past decade and feel like "myself" again, that is, if it's possible to feel like "myself in my 20s" in my 40's. All my instincts tell me this diet will work for me. The reason I say this is because I know full well what I ate when I felt my best. It was a lot of bananas and juice, and vegan stuff like noodles and salad.

The recipes - I love the "what I ate" videos. And recommendations on a workout routine. I used to run but I'd be open to cycling, I just got a great mountain bike last year. I will buy the book - looked for it on Amazon. I'll get it next pay period now that I know where to get it. Thanks

How to Clean your Smoothie Bottle

I have the same smoothie jug as Freelee and I figured out how to clean it. For the first few weeks using it I was just ignornign the dried date particles building up on the insides but last night I researched it and here's how to clean it.

 

First, take a half a teaspoon of bleach for the two liter bottle and put in the bottle. Fill with hot water and put the cap on it. Give the water and bleach four hours to disinfect the bottle.

Blood pressure went down, hair is growing back

Hello again Banana lovers:

 

I went for a checkup yesterday and my blood pressure went down. It had been 140 over something and since two weeks of eating tons of bananas it's now 120 over something. Also the post partum alopecia I had is finally a thing of the past - despite my little toddlers love of ripping on my long hair. The Euphoria is Kicking in

The euphoria this lifestyle gives is kicking in hard for me this week at last. I'm relatively new to this lifestyle, mere months being vegan and mere days actually nailing Raw til 4. I had tried now and then but not been consistant enough. Now I am actually nailing it. Previously I'd get the morning right, then go normal vegan at night eating any old vegan thing. Hi!I thing I'm doing fine in this diet, especially the last 2 days. Tomorrow I'[m going to my aunt and we'll see what happens. Surely my diet is going to step back a bit cause I can't take with me all that fruit or make them buy mass amounts for me. But I hope I can find some fruit to eat there. It's just for a weekend, I hope I'll won't get off track.

I too have this phrase of Freele on my mind! I also have another phrase, that I think I read in here, that if I feel moody and bad, well most likely I need to carb up and I need to carb up before I get hungry.

I'm starting raw till 4 onThursday cause I don't have enough fruit and tomorrow there is a bio farmers market (not big unfortunately) near my home.
