Bananas causing digestive unrest?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Bee Estes May 3, 2011. 6 Replies

I feel strange asking if bananas are the cause of my upset on 30*bananas* a day, but for some reason I feel like someone's punching me in the stomach, which also happens to be a washing machine.…Continue

I've been drinking upwards of 3 cups of coffee everyday for roughly 6 years... and today is my first day minus the bean. I'm happy to start over but my head's killing me!! Any suggestions (never been…Continue

I found 30bad in a very unusual way. Marksdailyapple.com, Mark Sisson's primal living guide, led me to youtube to watch a workout when I saw the "Primal Diet is an Eating Disorder" video starring Harley running 18.4km and telling me if he was "too skinnny" I was "too feckin' slow." I've attempted veganism in the past and was unsuccessful because there was no family support. As I've gotten older, I realize I'm perfectly capable of doing my own thing, and I look forward to the lfrv lifestyle.

On the Road Again...

Posted on June 24, 2011 at 10:15am 2 Comments

If anyone (besides me) cares, I've been relatively silent over the past few weeks. Namely, because I gave up and went crawling back to the standard diet. Since my last blog I've moved out of my house, got a new job, got fired, moved back home, got my old job back, nearly killed myself falling off the house (I've turned into the handy-man around here) and had too much time to think about where my life is headed. It didn't take the near death experience to make me realize I needed to change, but… Continue

The Lonely Island

No, I'm not talking about Andy Samberg, I'm referring to my day. The lack of familial support is starting to wear on me only 3 days in. :( Mom brought home a box of Shipley's Doughnuts today, which to those of you who aren't from around here- means nothing. They are the most delectable pastries available in this area! And mother brought home a dozen of them. :/ I succumbed to temptation today, friends. To keep the peace (something that almost NEVER happens in my house) I ate 1 of those… Continue

The Hippie Experience

Posted on May 3, 2011 at 8:24am 3 Comments

Between classes today I sat by a pond, water lapping at the rocks at my feet, shoe-less, in organic cotton tie-dye, eating a sugar baby watermelon with a jack knife. :) I felt one with nature and my 60's hippie predecessors. Did I get strange looks? Yes. Did I care? Of course not! I've made the educated decision to overhaul my health and fitness, they can look at me funny if they want to, but I'll turn heads next fall! :P

I also went for my first fitness excursion, which only… Continue

First Day Success

Well, after consuming a seemingly ungodly amount of fruit this morning, I dug through the fridge and found some leftovers I'm too darn cheap to throw away. So, for lunch I had about 2 cups of brown rice with some vegetable soup over it. :) not raw, but very vegan and very carby! I'm still excited, and I feel amazing. This is my first day without at least 3 cups of coffee since I was 13 (massive headache, but the sugar from all those bananas this morning is helping.) Dinner plans? A head of… Continue
