Hello! My name is Anna and I have maintained a vegan diet and lifestyle since spring of 2008 (and a vegetarian diet since 2007). Around the time of my adoption of veganism, I was battling anorexia/bulimia along with a negative self-image. I decided to go vegan as a bit of an experiment and was instantly hooked. It felt so good to feel positive about what I was eating instead of feeling terrible guilt after a meal containing dairy. But during this time, I was also prescribed to a low milligram dosage of adderall (and have continued to take it everyday until recently, as I am no longer in University). I knew that taking prescription speed would be something I would eventually have to stop taking as soon as I graduated and also knew that it would have an impact on my metabolism.
The fall of 2008 I started going for 5 mile runs every other day, which gradually turned into nearly every day from the following spring on to present (though, I only run a few days a week as of late). In 2010, I picked up hula hooping and love to dance during my free time.
I recently moved to the Northeast of India with my husband to pursue a Master's degree in Nutrition and Health, which begins this August 2015. It has not been too terribly difficult to maintain a healthy vegan diet here so far, but I have found it difficult to keep up a running routine because
A) I'm the only white woman I know here and everyone stares with their jaws wide open at me, and B) The "foothills" of the Himalayas are a bit difficult to keep up with.
I found out about 30 Bananas a Day from Freelee's facebook page, which was suggested to me by a friend in the beginning of 2014. I began reading her page and watching some of the video blogs, thinking "I would totally try this if I lived where fruit was cheap and always in season". Now that I am in a place more suited for the RT4 and HCRV diet (all fruit is super cheap!), I'm anxious to try it to get past chronic fatigue and have more energy and motivation to do the things I love.

Where I live it is often difficult to find out what foods are organic since fresh produce is sold in open air markets and most of the sellers don't speak english very well. I'm wondering if there's a way to tell whether or not something is organic without having to ask.
