I spend quite a lot of time researching health matters. Its a great investment of my time.
A few years ago I had my health badly damaged by airliner cabin air which was contaminated by engine oil. Guess what - all the air in an airiner's cabin has already passed through the engine (yes, really). Jet engine oil contains organophosphates which are seriously toxic, especially when heated and then inhaled. It turns out that this is a remarkably common occurence, and is probably responsible for a huge number of cases of ill health worldwide.
I will no longer fly in airliners as I now know they are dangerous for anyone who values their health. One single unlucky flight can destroy your health. I'm in the process of completely rebuilding my health and my life following exposure.
I found raw food during my quest to recover my health. I've been high raw since early 2006, and pretty much 80/10/10 since mid 2007. Adopting the raw lifestyle has led to much, much more than just learning about food, and it has helped me to realise that eating is probably as much about emotions as it is about nutrition. I love eating fruit!
I have many interests, including learning about health, the detoxification of artificial toxins especially organophosphates and heavy metals, growing the healthiest possible fruits and veggies, permaculture, crop circles, learning about using solar energy, cats and surface travel. I have planted over 20 fruit trees in the last couple of years on my organic allotment. I also grow berries, salad crops and flowers.
I've experienced a remarkable increase in energy and vitality with raw food, especially while following 80/10/10. However, chemical poisoning is a serious matter and detoxing and healing from it (and previous SAD abuse) takes a lot of time.
I've noticed that my tolerance for fat seems to be dropping the longer I eat this way, and if I overdo fat I always get candida issues reappearing. I'm finding that staying away from overt fats almost completely is best for me. The longer I am 80/10/10 oriented, the more I prefer to mono meal. This is a surprise for me as to begin with I found this rather boring.
I've researched B12 extensively and I've stopped washing organic produce and anything from my allotment (fruits and greens). Neverthless, my B12 has fallen from over 600 (high end of reference range) in 2006 to a dangerously low 125 in 2009. This issue gives me a nagging concern that maybe a 100% lfrv diet is not the healthiest possible choice in the long term. I'm currently supplementing with B12 injections, but intuitively I don't feel this is a wise solution - human nutritional needs should ideally come from real food and not from a nurse's needle.
I absolutely love sunshine and being in a warm climate, and I plan to live somewhere a lot warmer than the UK before too long.

Please tell us about your dietary inclinations:
Presently tending heavily towards 80/10/10, but still learning what works best for my particular situation. My goal is to have teh healhiest relationship I can with food, and I think this will naturally lead to a simpler, fruit and veg oriented 80/10/10 style of diet.
Are you Connected?
No & keen to connect!
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I presently read and research a lot. Mostly I read about health issues as its become a very strong interest. I enjoy anything that makes me think, laugh, or helps me learn about health. I also like a good novel, but I don't read them very often. Doug Graham's 80/10/10 diet has been very influential but I don't slavishly follow it.
My favourite films include Withnail and I, Jean de Florette, School of Rock, the Matrix, the Monty Python films, K-Pax, Fight Club, the Pink Panther films and a number of old British black and white films. I particularly enjoy books & films about time travel. Anything by Eckhart Tolle, Arnold Ehret. I watch very little TV as I find most of it rather shallow. When my old TV stops working I doubt I'll buy another. I did hugely enjoy the BBC series 'Life on Mars' which I found on DVD.
Music artificially alters my mood. I find this quite intrusive so most of the time I prefer to experience the sounds of nature or silence. But on the odd occasions when I am in a musical mood I can go for anything from Joe Jackson to world music or very infrequently even a spot of Black Sabbath. However, I usually find myself reaching for the 'off' button before long.

Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I'd like to participate in this friendly community, share what I am learning and I hope also find answers for the areas that don't work so well for me (B12 being the main area at the moment). I love the way this community seems to be filled with bright, enquiring, intelligent souls.

Medically retired airline pilot here ! I hear what you are saying regarding "AeroToxicSyndrome" ! I have not flown since 1995 when I went down with chronic fatigue syndrome, and I know that I have breathed in more than my fair share of filthy cabin air over the years. ( One of our flight crews was recently hospitalized after an extreme event ! All cabin and cockpit crew members were made sick. )
I am concerned about the viability of the lfrv diet because of the B12 issue that you mention, and because it seems to push us into "coffin corner" where we can't deviate too much or we perhaps suffer some backlash... perhaps this is not true for everyone though... and perhaps we are very sensitive to certain things, such as certain fats at certain times in our life.
After seeing a discourse on 30B regarding teeth, I thought it would be a good idea to share my oral protocol for those who may not yet be aware of some of the many ideas out there. Afterall, who the heck talks about their teeth? HAH ! Glad that at you were able to benefit.... all the typing then has been worth it :D
The UK is not a very raw friendly climate, especially this year !!
***Not sure about supplementing with B12 etc for myself. I am not sure that it ever did much good for me in the past, but I always willing to learn and to see where I may be myopic;>
