I'm glad to meet you Solili. I did lose a ton a weight. I went from 250 lbs. and eating fast food all the time to 130lbs. by eating 100% raw. I will tell you this was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Food addictions are incredibly hard to break, even now 2 years later I still have overwhelming cravings. If I give in to those cravings I get very sick now and it is just not worth it, besides at the age of 37 I feel better now than I felt at 16. I think I even look better. I have guys following me around all the time...it can actually be kind of annoying, besides they didn't seem to notice me when I was 250 lbs....ha! So anyway what I did do and still do when I had cravings is ..I ate. I would eat all the fruit I wanted until I could not eat anymore. I would eat a whole huge watermelon at one sitting and have a couple of smoothies on top of that. I just ate and ate until the craving was gone. Amazingly the pounds just continued to fall off no matter how much fruit I ate. I ate more than I had ever eaten in my life, but it worked and I am thriving. I feel fantastic every single day. I have struggled with severe depression and mood swings my whole life until now. I still had those problems when I went raw and ate a lot of raw fats but as soon as I cut out the overt fats I became a completely different person. I have never felt so calm, well balanced and at peace as I do now. Going lowfat raw is worth it!! I will never go back to being sick and depressed all the time, I have too much I want to do with my life now. One of my goals is to be one of the healthiest people in the world...maybe I'll live to be 150 :) You can do it! If a simple women born and raised in Idaho can do it...anyone can. If you want to know more or have any questions feel free to contact me at any time..my email is email@example.com and my phone is (208)703-9616. I will try and help in any way I can.
Hey! I didn't know that was you when I sent the message. I just remembered you as Ami...derr....I'll just chalk that up to my detox "fuzzy brain", shall I? Anything to save face. lol.
I'm so glad you made it. You'll find that this site tends to lean more toward the fruitarian lifestyle with some veg mixed in, as opposed to GI2MR, which is more of a general raw vegan site. Great info on both though, so you may wanna stay active over there too. I just have trouble remembering who I said what to where. Or something.
So how's it going with your diet transitions dear?
