I am currently doing the HCRV diet and loving it. I stumbled upon Megan Elizabeth´s videos a while back, which I found fascinating and very informative. Before this I had only read Ani Phyo and a few others, but I did not even realize there were subcategories within the raw diet. I felt heavy and weighed down on the high fat raw diet, though I have lost a lot of weight. I was also tired constantly, which confused me as I had always heard the diet makes one feel more energetic. I tried the high fruit/low fat diet right away, and I felt better immediately. I have energy now throughout the day, and I also don´t have as many cravings for other foods like I did on the higher fat raw diet! Awesome. The only problem is that my husband, friends, family and colleagues all eat a ´normal´diet of cooked foods, and so I have no support and am on my own.
On an added note, I was macrobiotic for 7 years before discovering raw food. In case you didn´t already know, macrobiotics and raw foodists are rivals, and the viewpoints could not be more different. I was always convinced that we should not be eating much fruit, drinking too many liquids, should only eat seasonally, should eat mostly whole grains... I believed this for years! But I am absolutely convinced now that HCRV is the way to go and feels much lighter on the body than macrobiotics. I actually want to write a book eventually on my experiences with both diets, and what I found to be the differences.
I am in the process of getting my bachelor of science in holistic nutrition, and will also be a certified yoga instructor after next September.

I am transitioning into a HCRV lifestyle, but am having trouble sticking with it 100% since I have absolutely no support in Germany, and all my friends think I´m crazy. I know it would help me to get involved with this community, and to feel some support by meeting others who think like me!
