I went gung-ho on the raw till 4 diet. I experienced chest pains, light headed-ness and just felt weird the whole time (a week's worth of raw till 4). I know that the chest pains could potentially be caused from all the fibre but I was unsure what the lightheaded feelings were from. I was eating enough (so I thought).

I started eating cooked pasta and potatoes again earlier in the day as I felt this helped (which suggests I probably wasn't eating enough carbs).

My family has all agreed to go vegetarian - which surprises me so much because my sister loves meat and my brother loves good food (by good I mean he dines in top restaurants etc). It's pretty cool - they are intelligent people though and respect animals so it shouldn't surprise me too much.

Noticing Negatives

I had a couple of days where there wasn't much fruit to grab in the house (I am poor at the moment as I have no job). Long story short, I am at my parents house and there is (was) a jar of Nutella lying around. I only had a few spoons but the very next day my face broke out all over in red dots. I say red dots because they are not like normal pimples I usually get from hormones - they are small, painful, not able to be popped and are just plain unusual. I didn't survive on banana island very long - my partner took me out to a million restaurants over the past 2 days (he's a big fan of eating out). I thought it would be easier to detox in Sydney but I was wrong.

I was also thinking 7 days is a little intense for me as a beginner (I've never fasted longer than 40 hours). I'm going to make it only 3 days to start. I'm not sure I'm so keen on eating just one type of food (I got bored of bananas after breakfast). It would probably help… Continue
