In a World of Infinite Contradiction....

What is it that YOU believe is the cause of all the contradictions in the world with so many parties with various ideas believing they are right in the world of nutrition? We have the science and we have the ethics so whats with the resistance? Do you think its misinformation? The enjoyment of good news about bad habits? So called intuitive connections and perceived common sense? Let the community know what you think!!!! See More

Our Direct "Caveman" Ancestors May Actually Have Eaten A Lot of Meat....But Would You Really Want To?

There is an insatiable quantity of controversy over what our prehistoric ancestors ate; mostly veggies, few veggies, lots of meat, little meat...the list goes on. What do we actually know? The truth is that we actually know via archaeological evidence that our diets were rich in both animal products and plant matter. However, the analysis of our predecessors is not so simple. We must keep in mind that our ancients were of many and that there were in fact many separate species of hominids living in one environment. Neanderthals via the recent discovery of preserved fecal matter were found to contain both phytosterols and animal-derived cholesterol. We are believed to have evolved from a species of hominid Australopithecus that developed into the Homo genus, but they also diverged into another species known as Paranthropus. Paranthropus was almost strictly vegetarian and died out approximately 1 million years ago controversially due to a spectrum of various pondered theories. The…See More

In December of 2012 I suffered a serious health incident that I could only attribute to the poor lifestyle choices I was making at the time. Upon this I acquired the realization followed by the determination that I needed to make a complete shift in my lifestyle. I was in the fitness/bodybuilding community for a while (their influence partly lead me to my declining health) and had a keen interest in nutrition and exercise however they were manipulated for superficial purposes. After the incident my interest transformed into a burning passion for nutrition but now in regard to using food and a healthy lifestyle as a means for regeneration and vitality as opposed to superficial goals as in the past. The first major text that gave me grounding in where to start was The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and I immediately switch to the vegetarian lifestyle as proposed in the book. I was still fresh into this way of living and I still did dabble in the consumption of eggs and oils. However, I continued my self education and was introduced to other incredible informative sources such as lectures by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn on reversing heart disease, lectures by Dr. Michael Klaper on the lies about health benefits of oil, and lectures by Dr. McDougall on the perils of dairy. After gaining continued education on the subject I switched from vegetarian to vegan. I thrived on the vegan diet and continued learning and eventually ran into the raw vegan community. I spent much time evaluating the raw vegan community and observed the 2 different sects, the high fat low carb raw vegans, and the high carb low fat vegans. My vegan diet at the time was quite high in fat with a heavy consumption of avocado and various nuts and seeds. I soon started watching the blogs of Durianrider and Freelee and although I admit I was skeptical at first at the quantity of fruit and sugar in the diet (due to some misinformed teachings I had been given) I decided to give it a try knowing I could always stop if I got fat or sick. However, upon changing to an 80/10/10 style diet the exact opposite happened. Despite the massive quantities of fruit I became much leaner, and instead of getting sick this new diet cleaned out my system and filled me with vitality. I continued watching Durianrider and Freelee and became interested in their online community which ultimately lead me here. We live in a world with so many people with either eyes shut to the truth or believing lies and misinformation to be true and as a result the few individuals with the real truth are still few and far between. As a result raw vegan living is still outcasted and disregarded by the general public. I am here in order to be with like minded individuals and share thoughts and ideas with others on the path of truth and meet some great people in the process.

no & keen to connect
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, How The Brain Changes Itself by Dr. Norman Doidge, Parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer. My favorite movies are the 2 Endless Summers, and my favorite pastimes are jogging, hiking, reading/ educating myself, and surfing when I can.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
Despite my close adherence to being completely raw I still do maybe once or twice a week consume some white rice. Obviously this is not raw but I do it to boost calorie/carb intake if I do not have enough fruit around the house to make a full meal. Is it acceptable to do this?
30bad is a fruit-focused vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:
I will comply because I like totally agree with all this

Why The Paleo Diet Isn't Paleo

Posted on March 9, 2014 at 2:13pm 2 Comments

The Paleolithic age is a period in history that expands from about 2.5 million years ago to about 15,000 years ago. In 1989 the first idea of the "Paleo Diet" as a fad emerged. It had for time remained quite dormant however in the recent years was swung into the spotlight and now a good portion of the population is familiar with it. Its claim is that we go back to our roots and eat the way our traditional paleolithic ancestors did hundreds of thousands of years…

The Adaptive Body and Flesh

Posted on March 9, 2014 at 1:46pm 3 Comments

The human body is an absolutely miraculous mechanical object in its diverse physiological workings. The body has through the time we have existed on this planet evolved and adapted to suit the ever expanding human population out from the heart of Africa to various geological locations across the globe. With this being said it holds merit to mention that the human being as supported by archeological evidence along with physiological evidence was not and is…
