So beautiful, ednshell! To your point in the comment below...I have seen SO MANY wild turkeys the last two years! I spend time in the Green Mountains in Vermont every summer and the past two years there have been dozens of wild turkeys along the side of the road feasting on bugs. I was driving in upstate New York last weekend and saw 5 beside the road. And I see them often in Massachusetts. I read that there are more than 7 million wild turkeys in North America. They're making a nice comeback. Love the art work you made! Thank you and have a great, great day!!
Amy, great point about the Eagle, would people eat it or is it sacred like the dog or cat in The U.S.? Great question for the Thanksgiving parties! :D
I do remember reading about B. Franklin proposing a Turkey over an Eagle for an American symbol, interesting stuff, here is a little piece I found on the topic: http://www.nwf.org/News-and-Magazines/National-Wildlife/Birds/Archi...
Oh WL that reminds me of the beautiful tribe of turkeys we saw in the woods last year while camping. :)
