Australopithicus Africanses was the first primate to climb down from the trees, some 25 million years ago.  His diet was simple:  leaves and fruit.  If s/he found a fruit tree, s/he might spend the…Continue

agree with Swirl. u just feel an every "nuance" of a fruit taste and the unique aroma is not mixed with other smells

i just started off this with mainly bananas, today would be my 6th day for bananas with dates (only this morning) but my other meals are normal ones. rice, fish and veg. i intend to change this in a week or so. hope all goes well.

Thanks Stephen, I will give that a try. I usually get stomach aches in the evenings, they start some time after my salad, but I usually eat fruit along side with the greens, so I will try your technique and eat the fruit first and end with the greens.

I consider a meal of one type of fruit with greens still to be a mono meal and think it is the ideal.  Apart from breakfast this is how I usually eat all my meals.  Start with the fruit and eventually add in the greens until you end on just greens.  Most people will not manage to eat enough greens having them by themselves.

i believe dr graham said that non-sweet fruits count toward our pound of greens for the day

I did not know this. All the sample menu's in the 80-10-10 book include 1 lb. of leafy greens every single day, so I guess I just assumed that was what was meant. From my understanding leafy greens have EFA's and other vit.'s and minerals that are needed long term (but not necessarily short term).

Thanks Jesus Freak :)

What have you all been eating for mono-greens? The only greens I can get individually are spinach and romaine (oh and celery but it's usually no good where I live for some reason), the rest comes in mixes like Baby Spring Mix.

Any suggestions?

For the past couple days, all I've wanted to eat are navel oranges and baby spinach leaves.  They're so delicious and satisfying!  I guess it's not technically mono, as I eat the oranges and then follow up with the leaves, but I've been enjoying eating them out of hand like this much more than my usual green smoothie mode of the winter.

Hi guys,

I am determined to be rid of digestion problems. I think mono meals be the answer.
