Excited to be part of this group and looking forward to opening of Vitality Bistro and some delicious, raw vegan meals.
Hey this local group is a great idea. Glad to be a part:)
Looking forward to some great sharing of ideas of living LVRF. So much happening in this area of Florida.
There will be a great event I will be attending the taste of wellness fair Jan 27 3-7pm It is promoting organic food and a holistic lifestyle. You can get more info by going to:www.tasteofwellness.org perhaps we can meet there. I vote for monthly meetups and move the locations around.
I love kanapaha and The Millhopper in Gainesville. I also love the park in Downtown Mt Dora where the lighthouse and boardwalk are across for a kiddie park off of Donnelley St.
When Vitality Bistro the new live food Lake County Restaurant opens this month we will have another place to meet and greet. Thanks Tenanda.
Eating what we each bring would let us know exactly what we are eating but it is more fun to share. many of us are avoiding GMO's at all costs and would desire to know that 0thers are only bringing organic non GMO foods to a potluck. We had a great time meeting Suzanah who came up for New Years and we would love to meet with many more.
Hey Tenanda! Thanks for stepping up and making a suggestion.
In my experience what has worked well is simply just having a fruitluck where we just gather at a wholefoods or someones home or outside in a park with picnic tables or even just on large blankets and bring our own meals (I find that we're usually just eating fruit out of hand such as bananas or mangoes), of course if people want to bring a lot and share or trade that would be between the respective parties.
Tenanda, would you be open to a gathering something more like that? Does anyone else have other suggestions, or maybe even something more specific than what I've offered here, such as a location for this type of event? I know of plenty in Gainesville (an example: http://www.kanapaha.org/index.htm) but that would require that I convince everyone to come up to me. :D
