Howdy all! I'm sure this subject has been touched on here in the past. I *love* fasting and light eating - was raw vegan for years and can't wait to get back to it again. One of the reasons I…Continue

@Armando Martinez, I lift three times per week, with MetCon after two of them, and 45-60 minutes of yoga after all of them. My sessions usually last about an hour an a half, not including walking to the gym, and stretching. On non-lifting days, I walk and practice yoga. My recovery time is pretty fabulous! =) I see slow (slooowwwwwwwwww), but steady, body progress, and my lifting gains are about average.
If this helps at all, I am a woman, and average around 3000 calories on lifting days, 2800 on non-lifting days.
@Armando Martinez sprint are awesome to do after lifting i need start doing them again. its dose suck not having a bench i use to do my chest routine on the floor one good thing about doing barbell chest press or dumbbell chest press on the floor is that it dose not allow your elbows to pass you back and easier on the shoulders.
@thefruitwarrior i eat around 3k calories give or take 200 and i normally eat the same thing everyday. in the morning ill made a green smoothies around 900 calories, after my work out or lunch ill have bean and brown rice or a banana smoothie both around 1000 calories, and dinner black bean, rice, and veggies or sweet potato, rice, veggies around 1000 calories i like big meals it can take up to 40 mins to eat some time lol
@ChrisThat's awesome man! I just started doing some sprints on top of my regular training routine. Right now I'm only lifting twice a week, just deadlifts and rowing movements (lol can I even call that a training routine?). Until I get a new bench thats all I can do. I also started this thing where I do x number of pull ups for every time I use the restroom. On days that I'm 100% raw I have to eat like a bear just to feel satisfied, so I typically employ some cooked food for my last meal of the day.
How many calories are you eating?
@Armando Martinez i lift 6 days a week 3 days on 1 day off for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day, 40 mins cardio every other day. my recovery is really good, recovery form injury is pretty fast as well just had 2 injuries in the pass moth 1 from dropping a 45lbs on my big toe and shoulder injury lol. my gains have been good i put on about 10+ lbs of lean muscle mass in about 5 months added few inches to each body part pretty much. im not 100% raw i have 1 to 2 cooked meals a day just on how i feel.
I am looking for a training partner in the NYC area or on Long Island.
To all the strength/bodybuilding people, here how often do you train and for how long? How is your recovery? Gains? Just curious. I see good results training 2 times a week and sometimes 12 times a week. Dont really notice a difference other than fuller muscles with 12 times a week. Anyways I hope you all have a great day! :D
I really want a 6 pack With eating lots of fruits n veggies,
Welcome to30 Bananas a Day!
