i feel training on an empty stomach is best .it works for me.give it a try and if your not feeling it carb up :)
I would carb up with a banana/fruit/date smoothie before I worked out especially first thing in the morning. I like to turn my metabolism on before I hit the gym instead of starving through my entire workout. I would have another smoothie afterwards but it'd be green, like say bananas/dates/kale. Or afterwards sometimes I'll juice carrots/celery/beets/apples or pineapple instead of apples. I really like the juice after a workout but it's a pain in the butt to clean up so I don't do it as often. Anyway, that's what I do. Good luck and have a great day!
I do HIIT training on fasted state in the morning with some LEUCINE to prevent muslce loss.Leucine is the only supplement I take to prevent muscle loss. I drink banana smoothie before lifting weights.During my weight lifting session I consume coconut water as well.Hope that helps
