Are their any other fruits that one can grow inside, are not too hard to care for and/or can produce many fruits?
If so, I am grateful for every bit of advice.
Many thanks in advance. :)
I can't answer the question but I'd love to know the answer as I've been thinking about that very thing !
No, unless you can get a lot of sunlight on them or use expensive and energy hungry HID grow lights
If the space your growing in remains warm enough at all times you can grow lots indoors, NASA use LED lights which use very little energy. They last for years also.
Apples & Pears
Tropical fruit (If your knowledge is good)
All plants and trees need Air, Food and light thats all. and insects or a busy human.
Feel free to ask any questions, i worked in commercial horticulture and am now a gardener
I'm up here in Alaska. I'm wondering if you know any large scale indoor food producing companies?
If you have an open/sunny room in your house, the best small fruit trees are bananas (shrub), limes, blood oranges or mandarin, lemons, and pineapple (shrub). Also, it doesn't take much to build a small greenhouse. Just build a frame out of free wood nearby and buy some transparent plastic or borrow/repurpose some to create a greenhouse.
