Hey fellow San Dieagans! Is anyone available to meet up? Up for Fruitluck? Spit a watermelon at the beach? :p. I would love to meet people like minded into this lifestyle! Keep in touch! :) I just moved here back in May from Massachusetts.

Just got some email notifications from comments on this page. VeganKeyes and Kerstin - I live up in Poway. Do you guys ride? There are a number of group rides from the coast, I usually train with Ranchos cycling in Escondido on Saturday mornings. Y'all want to meet up somewhere for a healthy meal? I know there are more vegan options in Encinitas and along the coast. I'd recommend Veggie Grill in La Jolla which is pretty good. Would be great to connect with like-minded people. Hi everyone! I'm currently living in Downtown, San Diego! I had moved here about a month ago and am hoping to connect with some fruit like minded people for a fruit luck or just an outing! :)

Anyone within the Pacific Beach area in San Diego? I'm in need of a fruitful friendship! :p.

Kerstin, I buy a 38 pound box of organic bananas every week at Jimbo's in Horton Plaza for $30. These are Organics Unlimited which IMO are better than the Chiquita organic I used to get from Sprouts, cheaper too.

@Kerstin. I've just moved to the San Diego area from Boston, and the first thing I did was scout out for Organic, fresh fruitshe and vegetables. I've been heading to Sprouts primarily. Great prices and produce is the best I've come across. Also, check out Ocean Beach Peoples Organic. I have yet to check into myself, but today is the day! If you are into foraging fruit, FallingFruit.org will show you a few trees around the San Diego area! I've posted a few links below!

  1. 1260 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109 -Sprouts (Location)
    Hope this helps!

Kerstin in Ocean Beach there is the People's Organic Cooperative and they have fantastic produce. Their prices can either be super cheap or super expensive depending on what you buy. If you buy a membership (like $20 a year) then you pay the prices listed, otherwise you're charged 10% more than the sticker prices. A membership pays for itself very quickly.

Hillcrest on Sunday sounds good for 1 box. Usually at Farmer's market round 2. (I'm just saying)
