30 Bananas a Day!

Hi all!

I just joined this group and noticed that noone has posted in a long time. I'd love to hear how you've all been doing, any changes in your ways of eating, meal times, benefits noticed, problems...

I tried fully monomealing for a while, but had a problem getting enough calories unless I gave up on greens and low cal fruits completely. After a few months of this, I really needed some greens and found myself going back to a 2 or 3 ingred salad at dinner. The rest of my meals are mono unless I am still hungry and out of the particular fruit I started with (this is not frequent, though).

I guess my challenge is that I am very small woman (5'2" and 85 lbs soaking wet) and I find that when I eat to satiation, I am seldom hungry again for at least 4 hours. I've actually never been one to snack.

I see that some of you eat 5 times in a day -- that has never worked for me since I end up never feeling hungry, eating because I "should" (for calories) and then I don't enjoy the food as well as always feeling stuffed. Yuck.

Plus, if I eat more often, I find it hard to ever have an empty-enough stomach for any vigorous exercise.

Still, I do love how monomeals work for my digestive system -- I feel lighter and more energetic, well-nourished and generally happier in mood. So I may revisit all day monomeals if I can figure out a way. Definitely open to suggestions!

Thanks -- hope to hear from some of you soon.

Lots of love,

Shelah

I think you should not give up on greens or lower calorie fruits, just have more mono-meals of each of them. Instead of salads, it's great to have a mono-meal of tender butter lettuce, for example. Even if you don't have salads, you can still have mono-meals of their ingredients, like tomatoes/cucumbers/sweet peppers. Try to have at least one mono-meal of a dense sweet fruit (like bananas or dates) in a day, so that you get enough calories. I don't like having large meals too, because I feel stuffed, so I graze throughout the day, having more smaller meals (or snacks). And this way I feel light and I don't get bloated. And I can still have 2500 calories/day eating this way, so no reason for not reaching a good amount of calories by mono-mealing. You can even try mono-days or fruit islands.
