Hi Vinnie, thats sounds like an awesome idea. Are you thinking a week long festival or just 1 day or several days? Also if your saying summer, do you mean in the next 2 months or next years summer? What about at the Glass House Mountains? I have never been there but I have been told they are really nice and have camping grounds, walking tracks and stuff.

G'day, all! A group of us in Queensland are planning a national fruit-gathering for all, with a similar vision to the Thai Fruit Fest, in the Summer of 2014/15.

We've also created a facebook-group, and we would like to hear your thoughts on it!
The Australian Fruit Festival:

Many of us are unable to attend the Thai Fruit Fest, in July of this year. So, why not have one in our own beloved land of green and gold?

We're planning to hold this event in the great Australian Summer of 2014/2015! With a similar vision to the Thai Fruit Fest, it will be completely free, and focussed on the fellowship and celebration of this fruity, vegan life-style!

Since we are still in the planning stages, there are many aspects of the event to address.
So, to make this the very best fruit-festival it can be, we would like to know your thoughts on the location, time, activities of the event, speakers, etc.
Also, if you have talents, skills and abilities that you would like to contribute, then, you might like to be part of the organising committee!

Please, invite all of your friends! I believe that this is going to be an awesome event, and it will be made great by every one of you.

Thank you, and all the very best fruit for 2014!

Shalom! x

Hey Peach Dundee,

Saw you like rock-climbing. That is so cool! Something I always wanted to do but never had the chance.

I like cycling. Hope you find someone in Canberra, I know how hard it is, I don't know any one in or around Gympie.

This is a link to a FaceBook Page .... The Head of the Real Food Movement in Cairns has taken the jakfruit by the stalk and launched the concept of DEC as a permanent Fruit Festival time slot for Cairns area ...... the most tropical part of Australia and thanks to the tablelands behind the coast ...... a large range of food stuffs can be produced in this one small area ...... I worked it out in '94 been in the area ever since ...... anyway catch the wave ...... biggest mango season on record right now ...... no pay ..... just forage off the ground or off the trees ..
