Total carbs: 867 (woah!)

P/C/F: 05/92/03

Water: 1.5L

Sleep: (last night): 8 hrs

Exercise: bike ride 35mins 10km

Feelings: potatoes are delious, so is my salad. Glad to finally do some exercise. Found an organic shop in town so all potatoes and lettuce will be organic. Aswell as other little bits and pieces, but rest of food will be conventional. I’m buying 26kilos of bananas a week for roughly $2.50- 3.50 a kilo. Downloaded chronometer tonight, i like it. Feeling a bit hungry at 8pm to 9.30 pm... i ate so much today, but i guess will eat more tomorrow, there just ain’t enough hours in the day! Need to sleep more. Goals at the moment 1. Keep this diary, 2. Sleep 10hrs consistently, 3. Gym membership, 4. start yoga and meditation.

Im feeling great, life has been a tiny bit stressful in the last week and i remember thinking i wouldn’t be so cool and calm if i wasn’t on the high fruit carbed up thing, im really appreciative to be living it.

25/04/13

 8am – 9am 500ml water

9.45 -11am Breakfast

16 small bananas

6 dates

7 small bananas

5pm-5.30 1.5L water

6.30 – 7.15pm

Salad

1 cup lettuce

1 cup cabbage

4 tomatoes

½ bunch coriander

1 lime

2 tbls hummus

Then

4 cups of boiled sweet potato

Total cal: 3850

Total carbs: 958

P/C/F: 05/92/03

Water: 2L

Exercise: none

Sleep: 10pm to 7.30am = 9.5 hrs

Feelings: sweet potato was nice today, again ate too late! Aarrrgh. Ran out out time when i was shoppinbg today and couldn’t exercise arrgh. Totally have the energy and was keen as to go for my ride. Cabbage in my salad did not sit as well as the lettuce. Left my water filter at another home so currently have to buy bottled spring water at 50 cents a litre. My calories and carbs are so high, and my clothes are tighter than before, so i think ive put on weight.

Should i increase my fat intake, as it’s below 5%?

Also im sure i could eat more carbs for dinner, but as they my carbs are so high for the day i decide not too. I am satisfied after dinner, im just saying that i am not as stuffed as i am when i down smoothies, and now at 9pm i am kinda thinking about cooked carbs. I think this is a sign i haven’t eaten enough? I’d love to get some feed back.

Maybe try eating more fats to keep you full longer, I also find for me eating over 5% fat works better for me. I eat around 15% some days, and it doesn't make me gain any weight.

But other than that, good job, your doing really well with raw till 4!

Thanks for your reply Peachie

feelings:

increased my fats for dinner and this increased my satiety at night time. I had a 185g carb dinner which would not normally be enough food but i feel totally satisfied! A bonus i don’t feel physically stuffed in my tummy, which feels more comfortable, when i normally eat my tummy feels  totally stuffed and it can feel uncomfortable – esp with my recent weight gain. I weighed myself today i have gained 5 kg in the past month or two, i don’t have a scale.

I trialled a gym today, wasn’t that fun, don’t think ill go back.

But i do want  to do is  improve my posture, flexibility and build some muscle!

**I also want to say i have been eating this way since December 2012 – not just the three days – lol. It was mostly raw till 4, with about 1 month (some days here and there) having cooked carbs for lunch and dinner. Since dec it has been very low fat, before then vegan for a year, before then a ‘healthy’ standard diet.

Appreciate any feedback

You should put your data into cronometer.com and see how you stack up with your vitamins, minerals, & amino acids.  I think you could be eating more greens as 50g of lettuce doesn't seem like much.  You might even try cooking some of them like Collards, Broccoli, etc. and eat them with your rice or potatoes

Hey,

Yeah I started using cronometer a few days ago, and my stats look pretty good - other than B12 and Vit D, but that was expected. Im in the sun nearly everyday and blood work for B12 is good, i get it checked every six months.

I'll try increasing the amount of lettuce, the organic stuff gets a little pricy, I think I'll have to get the conventional stuff. 50grams of lettuce was about 1-1.5 cups.

Thanks Gianni!

Mint and banana is yum.

Your diet looks great and it's good your B12 and D is probably good too.  Did you supplement at all for B12 or is it naturally good?  I ask because I've never tested for it and even though I bought some supplements I am hesitant to keep taking them after what I heard Doug Graham said about it.  He said to test yourself first and then supplement if you need to.  Otherwise people's bodies can become dependent upon the supplements when they might not have needed them in the first place.

I dont supplement at all.

I saw a durianrider video which said that if B12 supplement is needed then B12 injections are preferable over taking tablet supplements.

Cheers
