Ok guys. I hate to say it but I had fallen off the vegan wagon for october through today(october 31st).Coming back to this site now, I understand why it is so important for me to be vegan. My boyfriend left to idaho for a month and while he was gone i rested backinto being just vegetarian... then eating everything. I felt so cruel the whole time. It caused me to sink into a greater depression and my eating disorder even began coming back. I just felt alone and that me being vegan wasn't allowing me to relate to the ones I was clinging so strongly to in my life(family and friends, etc) because I felt I wasn't making it good enough on my own.
BUT now that I'm back into my desired lifestyle I never want to go back to eating animal products ever again. I don't want to support the slaughter of beautiful animals and the multitude of diseases that come with eating them.
Starting right now today, I will be eating my preferred happy diet of beans, legumes, seeds, nuts, cooked vegetables, fresh vegetables and fresh delicious yummy fruit :) I'm trying to lose all the weight I've gained though so I won't be gourging or binging anymore :)
So I was thinking, with the holidays coming around the corner would anyone want to start a challee with me in order to get back (and stay on) the wagon during the holiday season while the family dinners around us are centered with the sadly murdered animals and the side dishes that surround them?
Thanks everyone and sorry for letting you down! It won't happen again!
Good luck Ashlee!
With me, my resolve is weakest when I'm tired and hungry, so I'd say get plenty of sleep and rest and don't go hungry - that is, eat until you don't want to eat any more, rather than eating the amount you think you should. All the best :)
Thanks for your tip, I've been making sure of this the last few nights and I've actually stopped craving salt altogether now. I've been eating more than enough & getting plenty sleep.
Thanks! I've recently removed salt from my diet, just 3 days ago and I feel like I don't crave anything but fruit and veggies so you're right on it!
