30 Bananas a Day!

Hello, I came across this group and just wanted to share with anyone it could help the story of my mom. when my mom was in her young 20s ( this was in the early 1980s) she was a newlywed and expecting her first child. However this is also when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Mom began to go the medical route, not knowing any different, she lost her baby and the hope for future children when she had a hysterectomy. After giving up so much this still didn't get rid of the cancer. She then started chemo and she was So sick, she says one night she was convinced the chemo would be the death of her and not the cancer. She refused to do the Chemo anymore. Now this is where my Uncle Salvatore stepped in. Uncle s had moved from upstate NY and was now living in the state of Ca, and had totally new views on the world than they had grown up with in a New York Sicilian family growing up on pasta meat and bread. Uncle s convinced my mom to take a chance and come out to ca to the religious school of hygiene. The drs told her if she left treatment she had a 90% chance she would not live through the year. Mom went anyway, she fasted for 20 days and was down to 75 lbs, and her body started eliminating, where she had lost all her hair from chemo her scalp was covered in pimples. After fasting she began raw foods, guess what? she never did go back to the dr. I was adopted in 1986 by the bravest most amazing woman I have ever met and if it wasn't for this lifestyle and this cure, she wouldn't be here cancer free almost 30 years later!!!! The most amazing thing, when I was in middle school (late 1990s) my aunt rose(my moms sister) was diagnosed with lung cancer, but guess what she new what to do and both of them are still in my life today and the best health role models I could ask for!

Simply amazing.  Thank you for this story.  I love hearing this.  I suppose you were raised raw then?  Turned out fine?

And where in Upstate NY?  I am from Newburgh area.

I actually was not raised raw... However I was raised vegetarian so I have never eaten an animal a day in my life!!! The decision to go raw was all my own. Both sides of my family are from the Syracuse area, but now we are south of Atlanta as we got relocated with cooper lighting.

This was such an amazing story, so inspirational!
