i have chatted to my dad about this book and recommended it....he has gone as far as buying it but i am hoping that when he gets around to reading it it will inspire him to change his eating habits! It honestly saddens me to think of how little thought or idea he has of the junk he is putting in his body! He is a sugarholic! I dont want to be one of "those" people who pushes their own beliefs on other people....
Has any one personally experienced or know of someone who has read this book and changed their thinking? I just want my dad to feel as amazing as i do and i know he wouldnt look back if he knew what he was missing!
Any feedback is welcomed! thanks guys! :)
Well, it would depend on the individual what books or documentaries, etc. I would recommend. There are different things I would recommend to different people depending on their particular interests.
SO for example I would recommend the China Study for someone who more science-oriented in their interests For athletes, any of Dr. Graham's work. And for people who have diabetes: PCRM, Neal Barnard and their stuff. Heart concerns: Dr. Esselstyn or his son Rip. For cancer any of Dr. Robert Morse's works (he's also a great spiritual teacher). Dr. McDougall's works are excellent to, so I've heard anyway.
Personally I would never recommend someone consume starch as a staple because a lot of people have trouble metabolizing sugars as it is, never mind the complex sugars. But certainly it's a step-up from SAD.
