Hello everyone! I'm madison! I have been sticking petty strict to this new lifestyle so far for about 3 weeks now. However I've gotten a coldsore twice! I do get them occasionally when I'm sick or stressed. But maybe i was thinking its due to the lack of a nutrient in my diet. They aren't horribly bad cold sores and don't last long but still are very painful and ugly looking.

i used to get cold sores every single week last summer...one would heal and then a few days later i'd get another one! It was horrible! It could very well be detox but it could also be a certain food you're eating too much of. I find my trigger for cold sores is chocolate! I was having cocoa powder in my smoothie and then when I started eating this way in december 2013 i switched to carob powder and i haven't had one since. It's also important to avoid coffee and caffeine. I really do feel for people struggling with cold sores..last summer was just so horrible and i know what it's like getting them. I get bad cold sores when I eat certain fruits, like kiwi, pineapple and mangoes. Especially as they're messy to eat. They tend to go away after a few days.
