Enthused by one of the earlier books, I had begun to look into natural child birthing methods. Lotus birthing (leaving the placenta attached until it is naturally released) made a lot of sense to me. Hence, I was slightly disappointed to find that the Vedruss birthing procedure in the 'Rites of Love' book involved immediately cutting the umbilical cord with a knife.
What are your thoughts on this?
Also, the bit where the father sucks the mucus for the baby's mouth and nose made me cringe. :) Maybe it would seem like the natural thing to do when the time actually comes!
