I practice Ashtanga yoga and have begun working on intermediate series. Today my teacher said that I need to start eating more fats to counteract the "agitative nature" of intermediate series. He says that fats are important for lubricating the joints and sheathing the nerves.
The idea of avocados inside my elbows makes me giggle a little. But seriously, has anyone heard of this yogis-need-more-fat theory?
