30 Bananas a Day!

Yesterday I got to meet the author Mango Wodzak of the new book - Destination Eden - Fruitariansim Explained

Was hanging out with my friends Dr Robert Lockhart, Rheehana and Christian on an adventure on the Tablelands in Cairns yesterday.

Did some paddling, patted a crocodilio (as you do when you paddle), ate fresh Durian and papaya overlooking Lake Tineroo, visited a small fruit permie property and got to hang out with Mango Wodzak (aka Mangodurian) the author of the new book Destination Eden with his partner Kveta.

I have scanned thru the chapters and WOW! what an awesome bunch of info. Dr Rob reckons its a great read, so, I'm looking forward to get a copy and get into it.

I think this is one to ad to your collection. Great to have around the house when your friends and family come over me thinks. Anyway thought you may like to know about it. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/DestinationEden

I recently purchased this book at a local market, I had it for several weeks before finally picking it up and starting reading it, it has been a real eye-opener for me, I still haven't finished it (just over half way through, reading the barefoot chapter!), but absolutely love it so far! I've read a few books on fruit diet, including of course dougs book and anne osbornes, but this one takes a very different approach and much I've enjoyed the other books that are all have there merit and were definitely good reads, i already know that this one is my favourite, Ilove the writing style and the humor of the book, and the simple way it is all presented. Defintly recommend it. I will write a full review when finished.

Hiya Jackfruit.. just thought I'd write a short review for this book as I have finished reading it now.

This book is one of the best raw fruit books I have ever seen. Every chapter is full of gems, and I don't mean just the great quotes that are included on every page. I have been so touched by this book that I am starting to read it for a second time. I'm not a fast reader, it took me several months to get through it the fist time, not because it is difficult reading, more to do with the way I read. Mango's insight and vision is one that I truly believe in, he has inspired me to take my sandals of more, to stick with raw more than I have been able, and to eat more fruit. I try to eat raw everyday, but generally slip back on cooked 2 or 3 times a week, and always regret doing so. This book is really helping me slowly loose the cooked addiction. I understand things better now after reading it, both on a personal scale and more on a wider scale too.. Mango is right that fruit should be our focus with food, and I love his approach to nutritional science. I had been obsessing to much with it, and am glad that I have read this.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Mango? I would love to visit him and get more insight. I am probably one of the few people not on facebook, so wondering if he is on 30 bananas, or if anyone has his email or telephone? Jackfruit, have you read the book, what did you think of it?

:)
