30 Bananas a Day!

Hope the holidays are going really well :)

An irritating problem I've been having lately is that I feel so sleepy and spaced out after eating my mono fruit meals. I feel great for about 30 min after but then I get so tired and enter into an almost surreal, dream-like state, sort of feels like I'm high, it scares me to be honest.

I've been doing raw till 4 for a few months, and this only started happening a month ago and I have no idea why. I thought doing banana island would help, but stopped after 2 days because I was so dazed and out of it. This has started to happen with all types of fruits: dates, persimmons, oranges etc, but it's worse with bananas.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I eat 2500+ calories, drink at least 3 L of water, cycle 4 times a week for 90 min, sleep 9 hours. It's really discouraging and I'm unfortunately thinking of completely switching to the starch solution, with a bit of fruit here and there because it seems my body just can't handle this :(

Please Help!! Advice is much appreciated

 I've been raw till 4 for the most part, for 6 months. I eat a cooked starch meal each night, try to have no oils, but doesn't usually happen since my Mom cooks so she adds oil, but now she has decreased the amount tremendously (about a tsp per pot)

I drink 3 litres of water minimum, and urine is consistently clear, except in the mornings.

I cycle at least 4 times a week for 90 minutes, I usually get at least 9 hours of sleep. Most times I go to bed at 9, but been having a few late nights because of the holidays. I get at least an hour of sun everyday.

My health history problems is mostly allergies/sinus issues, acne, migraines, fatigue, and vitamin D deficiency (which I've taken care of). I also had digestive issues, but that's only when I ate too much fat. Also had my blood checked last month, everything came back normal.

I try to eat at least 2500 calories, at times it may unintentionally fall short of that, but it's never below 2000. I always eat ripe fruit and I'm pretty sure I'm combining properly.

Stress levels vary with school, but overall I am pretty stressed (cycling has really helped though) I try to buy organic when I can, but for the most part I eat conventional. I don't really eat a lot of greens, I probably eat salads a handful of times a month.

If I were you  I would try out getting more sleep and eat higher calories.  2500 is the bare minimum for ladies, add more for activity.  And sleep is the great healer, and coming from your background of fatigue issues it will really help you heal to get more of it.  I might try a week of getting 3500 calories as your minimum and a week of going to bed 3 hours earlier or do them both at the same time.  My guess is that you will see a great improvement with either one or most likely both of those changes.  Eating fruit can put us in touch with what we need.  There are no stimulants as with cooked foods and since we are full and adequately fed there is no adrenaline that might keep us going if we are under eating.

Thanks, I'll try more calories and sleep. Still, it puzzles me why this only seems to happen with fruit and not cooked carbs.

Such a good feeling to be on a fruit high. I see for myself different fruits have different results. Bananas always give me energy where oranges or any type of citrus put me in a relax type of mood. You might need to just see what fruit does what to you, but you said it's huge mono meals of any fruit. Might I add maybe try smaller meals, but more of them. Some people go tired after having a big meal in their belly and are just ready to lay down. I would give that ago. 

This makes a lot of sense. I never had any issues in the summer when I was living off mangoes and stone fruits which gave me tons of energy. Guess bananas and fall fruits zone me out. But I'll try having smaller meals.
