I keep hearing about how cacao is "dangerous" and is a "toxin" but I want to know why? What detrimental effects does it have on the body exactly? I tried googling this but couldnt get a straight answer plus I wanted to hear it from a raw foodist perspective.
I sometimes sprinkle some cacao baking powder that I just buy from Target or whereever. It's probably cooked but I haven't noticed any side effects.
It is a stimulant and have a big impact on your mood by elevating your mood only to crash later. although especially strong is raw cacao.
excellent questions, MM.
Here are ample reasons why we call it "crackao" :)
i was eating and drinking this health food along with organic coffee also considered a healthy choice but all along they were drugs / neurotoxins // and addictive have only a little or none is best . i will not go near these as they did my nervous system nothing but harm...and used a a false energy source .....
in short it sucks
I have firsthand experience with coffee similar to what you described. It messed up my digestive system and only worked for a couple of weeks before my tolerance increased and I just needed to have more and more. Now I stay away.
Thanks everyone. I find the links very helpful.
