30 Bananas a Day!

When I undereat on fruit (though that happens less and less), I constantly end up "craving" overts... I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of why I hate them so much, so I can remind myself why they don't serve me when the time comes that I do crave them:

1) They are too easy to overeat given that you can only have them in such minscule portions & WE DON'T HAVE ANY SENSORS ALERTING US OF OUR SATIATION POINT ON THEM.
2) They wreck havock on the digestive system.
3) They are dried and storaged for months (the ones you get here), and so the fat has gone rancid and they are not raw.
4) Eating them leaves me energy drained and make me dizzy.
5) They don't really taste that good.
6) They don't serve me and so should be regarded as a non-food. (The ones you get here.)
7) My mood plummets and my "natural buzz" is lowered.

I'd love to get more pointers so I can keep adding to the list ;-)

Im pretty sure that theyre the culprit of any pimples I get on my face, eww..
Avocado breaks me out more than anything. Any oil is bad news for my skin. The only reason I eat any fat is for the grounding feeling that comes with it. I just wish there was something that didnt lead to break outs. I may try using fresh coconut for awhile and see how that goes.
Oooh yeah, big time... I used to have acne and it would flare up big time when I ate nuts, seeds or avo in my goumet rawfood days... BLAH!!!
Not good for my mood either. They really bring me down.
My thought is that because they take so long to digest it just throws everything else out of whack including emotions.
I agree. I have noticed myself getting more and more "sensitive" since embarking on this diet, which I at first associated with a health decline, but now realize is due to the fact that the mucous lining of the colon is going away and thus my body responds louder when eating foods it does not want. This is something which I have now learned to appreciate, because I know the repercussions of deviating from my eating plan and it keeps me from "falling off the wagon" :-)
I couldn't agree more. Overts are transitional food for people moving to 811. Once you are on the path, overts are bad news to mess with, keeping it 955 is where it's at for real success and full health benefits. SO few people ever give 955 a real try... people think they need fat in overt form to be healthy when it's just not the case at all.

I had a bad acvocado experience once and I am scarred for life! Once burned... ;-)
hmmm. well it's funny because i would only be able to eat avocados if they were blended or mashed (with garlic or onion). I could never eat them by themselves (whole) because i would get this grossed out feeling afterwards, each time. but if they were mashed with garlic or onion, i would definitely enjoy them that way, i just loved the taste. but by themselves, i really can't eat them. i guess different people can tolerate different foods and combinations.

Overall, i still like the taste of overts but i definitely see that it pays off to eat less of them. I personally see that i feel better without overts in my diet. =D
I'm determined to give them up entirely

Hmmm... I don't think so. Nuts and seeds are a def no go, not even raw...
I went overt-free for over 3 months ands that's when my acne began. Coincidence? Detox? Who knows. It only started when I went raw.

I have decided now that I am living in Australia to eat with the season. Avo's are in season so I will enjoy them 'til the end. I look forward to a fat-free summer though!!!
