30 Bananas a Day!

For the past few days i have had terrible cravings for steamed fish, raw fish, oysters, steamed veges. I have also been craving salty things like the kitz crackers.
I thought maybe i need to eat more fruit so i stuffed myself with fruit but i was still feeling irritable and unsatisfied. Nothing would stop these craving, i had an avocado salad. I had a handful of brazil nuts and macadamias, but still i was craving seafood (raw or cooked).

This has been happening for the past 3 days. Fruit has satisfied me in the mornings but then after lunch fruit is the last thing i want.

I have been feeling so good lately and i just want to go back to how i was feeling before, this is horrible

How the human body works is our physiology attaches our attention to what we have been getting our calories from lately.

Nobody just gets a salt shaker and pours it in their mouth to crunch a salt craving..rather we crave salt cos thats whats in most our meals our entire lives. The body connects salt with carb calories. Give someone fish and chips with no salt or sauce and they will be unsatisfied.

Steamed corpses are the same, we never have just that but rather some carbs that come with it. So when we go more fruit based the first 3 weeks are the hardest whilst our body says 'hey champ! where is the calories! this aint food! fruit is a snack!, gimme what we used to be eating mate, cos thats what has kept us alive for the last 10-20-30-70 years..'

Eat over 3000cals from carbs a day, for a week and fruit life gets sweeter. Eat 2 packs of rawnola even, its high carb. Spread out some extra trays tonight! Cut the coco and make it super lean. Sammi Jo's simply raw n lean rawnola.

I had my best race in 12 years of racing yesterday. Div 1, gun riders and a super aggressive race. Carbs are key. I couldnt imagine life without em and even when I was eating SAD I could tell why I struggle so hard to give up fast food cos I was just undereating healthy carb options. I used to think I was eating too much rice and oats and would just get hungry and go order pizza or eat some bbq birds..basically when we get hungry, our standards drop to keep us alive.

Discipline doesnt last, good habits do..
All great answers and great questions.. all relevant. She has gone out for a while but will anwer these when she gets home.
Sami is thriving on this diet, as her mum it's great to see, especially as it's been her own choice to follow this way of eating. As a mother I also feel it is important to make sure I don't encourage obssessive behaviours. I have always taught my kids that eating well is about being "Healthy & Happy"
Unfortunately I don't have answers to all of her questioins.. as there are usually a few right answers to a lot of them!!! if you know what I mean. :)
Wow what a great influence you are on you children, my mother was a vegetarian so a lot of the ground work was laid out for me growing up making a transition to raw a lot easier. Role models in our lives make a big difference.
It seems that you are detoxifying from those foods. Hold on and in a few days the cravings will be gone. Just realize that "intoxication calls intoxication", you desire that particular kinds of food because your bloodstream is full of the residues your body accumulated during the years of wrong food consumption, to eliminate them. But during elimination one has the sensation of wanting those foods!
Make sure you eat enough juicy fruit as you are doing and a lot of veggies like celery and romaine. But also bananas help.
Then if you crave "sea" food, maybe once or twice a week you could add some dulse to your soups or salad dressings!
Hold on hold on hold on hold on!!!

Very good point, Antishred. I think if we are meeting our caloric intake, getting enough sleep, water and exercise and still have cravings, detox is most likely the culprit.
I like your take and think you're right. This has been my experience in the past and increasing the veg helped for sure.
Sorry its taken me so long to reply, i havent had a computer lately as mine is in getting fixed. But there are some great answers here and you guys have really given me something to think about. I am in a rush right now but will definately have better read as soon as i can sit down and think properly lol
