Hi does any body know any alternatives from washing with soap and shampoo as I know its not the healthiest thing for your skin as it contains fluoride, chloride and many more harmful chemicals.
I try washing with lemons its OK but takes a lot of time to wash with and its quit strong on the skin.
Thank you for your help :).
Exactly. After the body detoxes, there will be little or no smell even after exercise. If I am in lazy mode and not going for my job, I sometimes shower every two days too.
Plain water for the body.
Baking soda if the hair is oily and or for teeth.
Life is simple:D
hello guys, for everybody that is saying to use just water, what about for washing your behind?
The private parts I assume?
Once one has done this diet for about three plus days, the smells coming from the body will start to lessen. The urine becomes less acidic and more ph, and with proper hydration there is little to no smell or color. Bowel Movements become light and fluffy and leave little to no residue on the skin. There is also less smell.
I know this is too much information, but I actually like to wash with water post evacuation. I have container that can be used to water flower pots that has a narrow spout, almost like a tea pot. (A large bottle of water could be used too.)
So, evacuate, pour water, pat dry with toilet paper. Less mess and less wastage of toilet paper too.
i guess you are right, if i am not consuming fats then i do not need the emulsification of the soap!!!
everything i eat is water soluble!!!!
thankyou for clearing it up for me pk!
Thank you everyone for the comments :)
I also think water is best but I probably smell a bit because I have rice sometimes and am not 100% raw only 80% i would say. I went raw for 2 months once and did notice that I didn't have to wash often at all, probably once or twice a week I washed that time. Once again thank you for all your comments everyone :) have a fruity day.
Hello Banana Boy,
as long as you see a need for using "something" additional to plain water, you could try a good aleppo soap ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleppo_soap ) or Ghassoul (lava earth powder). I'm using aleppo soap, sometimes even as shaving foam replacement, and I'm happy with it.
In this case, a little baking soda might work. Sodium bicarbonate is found in many fresh water supplies anyways. We drink it in minute amounts, and already bathe in it.
You could take a spoonful or two in your hand and add a little water until you have a runny paste, or in a container, mix a few spoonfuls in about 1cup plus of water.
This may help neutralize any odors.
Hot water and a wash cloth is all you need.
I dry skin brush and then wash with water. It's amazing how simple we become on this lifestyle. I love it!
