I am sorry to hear about this news. You friend may want to get a second opinion just to confirm. Then continue to work with the doctors in finding out what options are available. Nowadays, provided a good bone marrow donor can be found, childhood leukemia has a good prognosis and outlook.
Having said that, two of the number one causes of leukemia and other blood disease and or lymphomas are dairy and or gluten and grain based products.
If I were you, I would encourage your friend to continue to consult with one or more doctors and research all options and or start looking for a bone marrow transplant match.
In the meantime, you can suggest to your friend to make some nutritional changes. Encourage your friend to look into our diet and or add a few meals a day of fruits, lettuce greens, and nuts and seeds, and to remove the dairy, gluten and or animal products.
Children especially also need mega doses of vitamin C and may need upwards of 1000 mg to 3000 mg. I will add a link here where you can download a free ebook called:
Every Second Child by Kolakerinos
The good news is that when faced with cancer and other health crises, many people are open minded to discuss and or experiment with natural health and healing. If she is open to learning about what we do and eat here, you can share this link with her where we are compiling some science based articles:
Good luck to you, her, and the child. Peace, PK
I don't know a ton about this, but the Gerson Therapy relies highly on raw foods, but also I don't know how many toddlers they have treated. They have history of treating and curing cancer in many patients, including children. You can watch the documentary on netflix, for a fast, informative version of what they do.
This hurts every time I read it.
I PMed you a response, Mom. Pls let me know if it arrives as we've had an email gremlin running amok and I want to make sure you receive.
