WHat to feed my cats on a vegan diet??

They are adult cats now and got used to a certain diet.

It will be difficult to get them to eat anything else now.

And surely they are not going to get their calories from tomatoes and greens.

I would recommend asking Prad.

I think he knows a lot about the topic.

Is this not going a little to far?  We are supposed to eat what we would eat in nature, at least thats what I'm under the assumption of according to 811 book by DG.  I would assume that just as we can live off meat, a cat could live off fruits and veggies, but not to its fullest potential.

cats do very well on vegan diets, but these should be properly supplemented.

even meat based diets are supplemented. tomatoes and greens in tuna likely won't do the job, rawdadalove.

I thought cats were strict carnivores, not omnivores like dogs. I don't know much about it, but the cat we had would starve rather than eat anything that didn't come from an animal.

From my own experience: cats will eat what they got used to from childhood, if it's meat - then it's meat, if it's fish - than fish (and it maybe a certain kind of fish, mind you), if it's everything - then everything.

In a way they are just like humans in this respect...
