Hi guys. I opened a discussion a couple of days ago about how I was emotionally struggling to cope with the initial weight gain on this lifestyle, as I've been struggling with self esteem issues for a long time.
After reading some of the very encouraging replies to it, as well as educating myself and trying to shift my mentality, I really did feel a great deal better. I had faith that the weight gain was a necessary initial struggle but would pass in due time.
However, today I realized that I have a really big problem relating to this. I'm doing a really important surgery on June 10th...And in order to do this surgery, it's very important that my weight remains stable. The doctor told me specifically to be careful and watch my diet so that I wouldn't gain weight in the first few months before and after the surgery.
What should I do? :( I've already gained almost 7 pounds since starting this lifestyle about a month ago. I know that it's going to come off soon, but...I cannot, for medical reasons, gain weight at the moment. I don't want to abandon this lifestyle but I don't want to put myself at risk either...
Totally agree with MistyRaw, have you tried going 100% raw? I really do lose 1 pound a day on the raw vegan diet at the moment, doing lots of exercise.
