Cape Town, South Africa: Between R11-R15 per kg. So about $1-$1.5 /kg (US)
In Croatia a kilo of conventional bananas is $2/1.5€ and organic ones $4/3€. For a case of about 19 kilos of conventional bananas I would have to pay $34/25€. Mangoes are $3/2€ per piece, so are the pineapples. Expensive to be hcrv here, even if you buy in bulk :(
I pay £1.50 for 9 in South Wales. UK Don't know the exact weight sorry.
America gets its bananas from ripping off the South of the Americas... Japan and Korea from ripping off the Philippines and Taiwan... The United Kingdom from South America and West Africa, and Beijing from China itself. Spain has a small production on the Canary Islands I think.
