Hey Guys.....and Gals,
I'm new to the HCRV lifestyle but before I go on, here is a quick background. I'll try to make it as short as possible.
-Aug 2011 went plant based vegan
-May 2012 ex wife split and I lost 15 pounds and did some S.A.D. cheating :-(
-Nov/Dec 2012 back to my mostly plant based vegan lifestyle
-Dec 30, 2012 started P90x following plant based diet no supplements
-Jan 27, 2013 after not seeing the gains I wanted on the P90x program, I opted to follow a processed vegan high protein diet (2400 calories a day) ......veggie dogs, and boca burgers...lol
-Feb 4 got laid off and started eating tons of calories out of boredom or stress or something...figured if i was going to "binge" I should go back to what I know to be the right way to eat.....PLANTS!!!
-Feb 17 started 80-10-10 but ratios fluctuate a bit but I'm all raw very little fat.....BUT eating 4-6k calories a day. Love my dates....love my dates....love my dates.....did I mention I love my dates....ROFL
So that's me in a nut shell. I'm 6'1" was 149 lbs Jan 29 and now I'm pushing 152 or 3....belly isn't as flat and seems to be getting soft and "cuddly"....
Any input as to why I'm gaining weight eating HCRV? Help...please. I totally believe in this but I'm nervous about the weight gain.

It may be water retention if you eat too much salt
You seem quite thin. I dated a guy who was 6'2 and 190, and he was a stud. I doubt you have anything to worry about.
6'1'' and only 152? Isn't that pretty lean or am I missing something?
You're freaking out over 3-4 pounds?
I gained 40 pounds on this lifestyle... I'M freaking out.
Seriously, don't worry about it. Like the other people said, it could have been from your veggie burgers.
It could be because you have loads of fruit inside you.
As for me.. I have no !@#$%^& idea
Don't be silly, he's not overeating on fruit ... impossible! He should probably JUST eat dates for awhile, perhaps even date smoothies, to make sure he's getting in ENOUGH.
Hey everyone! Thanks for all the input. I know a few pounds on my frame isn't a killer but I was well on my way to the elusive "6 pack" and now I seem to have a little extra around the mid section :-( I'm cutting back on my dates....gonna be hard cause I love eating them and I'll work at sticking to 3000-3500 calories and not snack to late. The late snacking is what may be doing it.
John Paul, I LOVE P90x....it's not your typical infomercial scam. The system works but it's not for the faint of heart.
I'll post an update in a few weeks and see where I'm at. Thanks again everyone
Jon, thanks so much for the info!! like I said in the original post, I lost close to 15 pounds so maybe my body is trying to climb back to that point. I was pretty hydrated back in Jan drinking 8-12 glasses of water per day but saw more definition...I hope things level out cause I "get" this lifestyle...Gen 1:29 is clear about what we're designed to eat
