30 Bananas a Day!

I have been given an amazing opportunity to live in in Peru in a barter and trade community where I will be helping preserve the rainforest, plant an abundant fruit orchard, and learn the ways of the medicine man. My goal is to be able to help the institute grow for all of my loved ones to be able to live in abundance in the future and be able to bring the information about reality back to the states and teach those who want to thrive in life how to do so minimalistically.  Since the institute is fairly new, the cost of living is $500.00 (plus your plane ticket) for the first 3 months until you can work out a work-for-living agreement. This is such a beautiful opportunity to grow a fruitarian utopian society to save this world. I am hoping to meet more light artists like myself on my journey who are equally as passionate about saving our mother earth and all who inhabit her. c:

Hey Victoria. Thanks for sharing it , could you send me some info on this.I am from Brazil and looking to create or be part of a self sustainable community

interested! I would love to learn more about this :)

Why not post more details here?  Does the community have a website?  How many acres does the community own?  Are there existing fruit trees?  Is food/housing/ transportation included in cost of living?  What is the visa situation like// how much does the visa cost// is it easy to stay there for a long time or indefinitely?  Can we buy in to the community?  What's in it for "us"?  Spend our money and time to go work as slave labor on your land?  I know many people here want to heal the earth but land is rather cheap in the " third world "... why not just buy our own land and improve it ourselves?  Do you have any pictures you can share?

I apologize for taking a while to respond >.< i try not to get onto the internet too often. Their website is paititi-institute.org, and they are also very informative if you shoot them an email c: My close friend is flying there on December 6th, and I plan to get all of my stuff ready to go by February. I am in the process of filing for a passport, so I am also figuring out the information for how much a visa would cost.
ALSO, you can freely purchase your own land there for $200.00 an acre, but the community is about sharing :p but if you want to just to have your own for whatever reason, you can :D
