Hello,

I was wondering what are the foods that are high in the essential vitamins and minerals our bodies need?

Calcium
Chromium
Folate
Iron
Magnesium
Selenium
Vitamin A
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B12
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Vitamin K
Zinc

Im new to the vegan scene and i want to make sure I'm getting eating plenty of the right things. I currently eating mostly potatoes with sweet corn, pineapple and mandarins (tinned as I'm a student and its cheaper) rice with peas and red kidney beans, organic vegan cereal (whole box like durianrider) with almond or soya milk and coconut palm sugar. I eat a bag of lettuce a couple times a week, and things like asparigus now and then.

The usual answer is: eat *enough* and don't you care about that, you'll get plenty of micros and your body will use what it needs.

i always aim to eat at least 3000kcal a day minimum
