once I ve read that V. Kulvinskas wife being raw and active has died of cancer. What was wrong with her diet? some blame excess fat in her diet, but how much fat? b/c after reading some books including The China Study we can come to a conclusion that cancer cells can not survive in alcaline environment ( eating raw alcalizes body, surely not too much protein which on the opposite makes the body acidic).
In my opinion diet is not the only cause of cancer, and something like emotional trauma may play an even bigger role.
There could be many reasons.
could u please say who are the authours?
it comes several books with similar titles, so i cant be sure which one is right. I ve found one by Joan Borysenko and the other by Dr. Hamilton
All well and good, but... consider a similar situation of stress: World War II. Military records (some of the most detailed that we have) show that during times in history of war, health usualy skyrockets. Case in point: WWII, occupied countries had their commercial food supplies cut off, yet those who ate from their "victory gardens" mostly, thrived. This was shown to happen across the board, everything else equal. Even women in the Philipines who were forced to survive for a year and a half on less than half their usual calorie intake gave birth to slightly lower birth weight babies who turned out to be of higher IQ, fertility (* I believe), and perfect health. They were tracked to see what would happen for 21 years.
In The Pleasure Trap Doug Lisle explains how it is the SITUATION not the personality that governs the outcome of health and ultimate survival.
I am not saying that mental outlook has ZERO bearing on cancer or dis-ease, BUT here is how we should look at it: Thought alone can not heal you. You have to have the right conditions exist.
Except for a very small number of truly horific incidents that defy description (very rare), I would think that when cave men and women were being chased by carnivorous animals five times their size, THAT was stressful. Whether you were running away or just witnessing it. And when your friends, family and community are being shot in the streets or your town is being bombed or raided or just taken over during times or war, THAT is stress! I do not thin anyone would disagree that today we have very little stress. If so, then get over it!!!!
true! very thoughtful, Chris!
Also, wasn't he recommending warming all fruit, following Chinese theories?
and he is selling super foods, don't know which ones though.
But yes, worrying...
that def makes sense. I didnt know about his/her diet. if they eat cacao or raw coffee is even worse. and avoiding fruits!!!!???? not good
yes, he look so:(
Although the china study made a lot of conclusions, including that a diet low in animal fat and proteins, and total fat and proteins, is optimum for health, this was not the diet that the kulvinskas followed. Firstly, they don't eat all raw to my knowledge. Secondly, they eat a lot of sprouts (high in protein and omega 6, which are both cancer promoting), nuts (high in omega 6 fats and protein, which are both cancer promoting) and lots of other factors that we don't recommend here.
Furthermore, cancer is not just about diet. It is about sleep, exercise, sunlight (vitamin D), breathing (lymphatic circulation and stress hormone balance, as well as O2 intake and CO2 excretion), fresh air (oxygen) and very importantly - emotional poise/stress management. Stress and emotions have huge effects on the immune system and elimination of wastes.
Also, a raw diet, even if it is low in fat or protein may still be nutritionally insufficient. There are many factors affecting cancer protection within the body, These require a sufficient amount of nutrients. A deficient diet will not offer as much protection as a sufficient diet, even when some of the promoting factors for disease in the diet are removed.
The reality is, we will never know why she died. Health is complicated, and much of it is very private and personal. We will likely never know everything there is to know to give us enough info.
We live in a toxic soup,: EMF, air & water pollution, stress, etc and the diet is only one of the factors. Good diet can only reduce the risk of the cancer and not provide 100% protection.
BTW, what type of cancer she had?
