30 Bananas a Day!

I have been eating abundantly, but no matter what I eat or how much I can't seem to ever truly be full.

The past two nights I've woken up in the middle of the night hungry. I'm eating a LOT of food, and it's nutrient dense food too! How can I quench my hunger easier?

What's a lot? In calories.

I, in all reality, don't stop eating very much at all. I'm constantly eating.

You enjoy your food? Bad quality fruit just isn't worth it. I'm not saying you need anything expensive or organic even. Good quality can be cheap and easily found. Just saying there's a lot of stuff out there that won't fill you.

You may want to check out the link below - it basically rates the 'fullness factor' of foods.

Potatoes, oranges and porridge oats rate highly. These are foods that may satisfy you better than many of the foods you are eating at the moment.

I notice that when I eat too fast I never ever get full!

Well...if you're hungry eat! Just make sure it's good food though like fruits and some greens.

Are you eating only raw?? That could be why, it isn't very filling. Also, when I started this lifestyle I woke up every hour of the night and ate like crazy, let your body go through this time and do not calorie restrict, eat as much as you want and eventually your body will go back to normal. It is going through a refeeding stage.

If your hungry at night then eat somthing, your body knows that it wants more callories.

Don't restrict it just becouse society says your not supposed to eat at night.

If it still bothers you though you can try eating somthing a little more dense for dinner like bannanas or dates.

At least that's my advice.

Are you eating 1/2-2 heads of lettuce greens daily?

About 1-3 oz of nuts or seeds?

I concur with others that depending on the day ie if you work out intensely, that you might need to keep calories up.  May be plan your day around a 3500 cal menu everyday, and then see what happens.

I've been on the high-carb vegan life-style for nearly two years; so, I'll give you my experience.

I went from eating SAD to BaD, and then to raw-'til4. I tried the approach of eating no overt fats and stuffing my face with fruit and rice. It worked for a little while, but I felt like crap towards the end of last year, and I felt like I had to keep eating more and more. That didn't really help. If any thing, it made me more lethargic and I had terrible insomnia. I've found that introducing more greens into my diet and a little fat from almonds and avocadoes has seriously helped my cravings, mood, skin, sleep-patterns and every thing in between. I decreased the amount of food that I ate, too. This isn't calorie-restricting, it's simply working out an efficient amount to eat without under-eating or over-eating. Of course, saying this is antithetical to many people's views, but this is just my experience in finding what works for me.
