30 Bananas a Day!

Hey there,

I would absolutely love nothing more than to be a banana girl. There's just one problem- I'm a type 1 diabetic. Now, type 1 is very different from type 2. Make sure you know the difference before commenting.

Can anyone offer any advice on how I could go about being a banana girl despite my disease? Has anyone cured themselves?

hi. i found a site/blog by a girl with type 1 that may be helpful. purediabetes(dot)com

Thank you!

Are you on a pump? Continuous glucose monitor? explain your insulin therapy regime. How many carbs per unit of insulin are you using now? what is your current fat calorie percentage? Vegan now? Raw?

All the type one diabetics I know of who are 811 report less insulin use. Also diabetic complications will be much reduced by following your species specific diet (811).

Never heard of anyone 'curing' type 1 but I would have to say anything is possible. There have been reports of type 1 diabetics spontaneously recovering(doctors are always baffled by this and declare it a 'miracle'), although its very rare, it does say something about human potential.

Never give up! At the least being a banana girl will reduce complication possibilities and insulin use, both good things. Your general health will improve greatly and I'm sure you know less problems are better than more problems..

Good luck with your healing adventure!

Robby has compiled a list of a handful of type 1 that recovered but he suspects that they were diagnosed as type 1 but were actually type 2.  At least that is what I remember, it's been a while since reading about it.  Contact him on the link above.

I am not on a pump yet, as I was only recently diagnosed. I use humalog and lantus. My insulin to carb ratio is 1:15. I will have a pump in March.
Are there any complications that could flare up?
And how can a type 2 diagnosis be confused with a type 1? It'd be wonderful if my diagnosis was screwed up.
I am currently a vegan, but not raw.. yet.

I'm not sure, I think the Docs say it is type 1 if you are under a certain age and type 2 if you are over a certain age.  But type 1 is really only correct if you have zero capability to make insulin.  Robby can tell you for sure.

hi

I have no doubt at all diabetes type 1 is curable  through diet approach.

The secret is to find a very good methodology and you should stick to this methodology several months till your pancreas is fully regenerated. it may more time or less time depending of your pancreas damages.

feel free to share.

Kevin

Diabetes type 1 is curable  but most people dont realize methodology is the key to reverse type 1.

moreover,    an Advanced type 1  reversal will not occur overnight..... it will be more fast to reverse  a recently diagnosed type 1.

:)

Dig into medical litterature you will find all the answers to your questions.

You should think about what I said... Methodology is the key to reverse type 1..

The methodology is even lacking  in a lot of diabetes type 1 researches  . Some researches  have so bad methodology that you could predict failure of research even before the research has started.

The regulatory organizations with too much restrictions on the methodologies in a way  control the evolution of medicine.

The people who wants a cure should focus on methodology and protest against the bad methodologies... A lot of money is wasted in bad methodology.

There are several ways toward the cure  but they have one important thing in common. (Methodology)

If you study carefully the diabetes type 1, you will realize it's possible to maintain an eternal loop of disease when in fact you could cure your diabetes if you will break this loop through a comprehensive methodology.

What do you mean "methodology"? And are you talking a total cure, or a way of "hacking" diabetes by managing it without insulin somehow?

Sol Echo , Methodology is required to obtain a total a cure especially Advanced type 1.

Alright, but what do you mean by "methodology"? It's a very vague word.
