My stepdad has agreed to give the lifestyle a go and see how he feels! Today was his first day. It is a large adjustment for him as he is 63 and been on a SAD diet his whole life. Yet, he has been very open to changes. I hope that he will begin to feel better and be able to get off his prescriptions, which is his goal also. Today he felt very 'bloated' because he was not used to consuming a lot of fruit, but I'm sure his body will adjust, like mine did, to taking in more high-water content food. I hope he keeps with it!
I've heard some amazing stories of people healing themselves, including a friend who mentioned his father, who was 80, transitioning to lfrv and getting off of the drug Coumadin, which my stepfather is also on.
If anyone has some motivational stories or anything let me know and I'll pass them on to my stepdad :)
if he keeps to it - he will go through detox
then he will feel alive again like when he was young - after that, its not hard
because the benefits far outweigh anything else + he has you
