30 Bananas a Day!

I'm going to eat Thai food in a few minutes. Does anyone have any good tips for staying low fat?

Any particular dishes that will be less fatty?

My favorite dish was always Thai curry but I've cut my fat addiction off for over three weeks now and feel good. I don't want to have "cheat" days as I find this lifestyle to satisfy me completely.

I'll look on the menu but I imagine everything has oil added.

Easy peasy.  

Never be afraid to ask for a custom dish in any restaurant.

Asian places are great because if nothing else, they always can offer pure steamed rice and steamed veggies.  That way you know you're not getting any ingredients that don't work for you.  

Order 2-3+ portions depending on how hungry you are.  

I ended up getting a noodle dish + another plate of steamed noodles to mix in and it was still way to salty. 

Next time I'll order plain veggies I think. Thanks :)

I always get the yellow curry. specifying no oil, no salt, no oinons, no soy sauce, extra potatoes, with a huge pot a of rice filled to the top.

wow I didn't think they would do all that for you, that's great! but isn't yellow curry made with coconut milk?

What's wrong with coconut milk?

Just that it's super high in fat, which is kinda bad with a high carb dinner?

It's true. Thai curries do have some fat in them since they are coconut milk based. In terms of food combining, I do find that, unlike sugar-fat combos which don't sit well, starch-fat combos digest well. In fact, for me they digest better than high starch meals without any fat added, as those give me heartburn. A curry won't be a low fat meal, but it might actually digest without major problems.

Hmm I guess everyone is different in some ways. Plus when you eat more fat towards the end of the day it can still go smoothly! 

fruit is always going to be the best, no matter what. I've had yellow curry 3-4 times for dinner in a week, after consuming 3000+ calories of fruit at times in my life and not have it seen it effect me negatively in any way.

I'm not saying I advocate yellow curry and rice as an optimal meal. fruit is always going to be better. always.

I'm just saying if I want a cooked meal, Thai yellow curry and massive amounts of rice is what I go to.
I went to a Thai restaurant with my family a few weeks ago and ordered a raw papaya salad with green beans ( and peanuts and chili- in retrospect should have asked for without) and a large portion of rice.

nice, its good to know there are options for dining out. and i guess theres no problem in eating white rice every now and then, even thoug brown rice is best?
