30 Bananas a Day!

This coming Tuesday will be my third week raw. I have been feeling great ever since i started and have been really enjoying it. I have always really enjoyed just eating fruit and my mum is a great influence because she is also LFRV although we never label ourselves but thats just how we eat.

 

This past week i have been feeling really light-headed and everytime i stand up i get very dizzy. Has anyone else ever experienced this, or does anyone know what its from. It cant be my blood sugar levels because i eat stacks and stacks of fruit and i really mean that. I have been having 2500 to 3000 calories lately and i do train a lot (although this past week has been more of a recovery week), i have been eating at the most 20 bananas a day (along with other things) and im not even doing this banana island thing. Im trying to cut my calories down to 2000 to 2500 because i do have a fair bit of weight to lose although i dont want to restrict myself too much. I dont know...what are your thoughts??

 

Also by about 2 or 3pm i become a little unsatisfied and irritable....like i have a cooked craving or something, i cant really pin-point it out but its like i want some cooked chicken or.....i dont know i suppose it is a cooked craving then. But im not really hungry. Bananas and dates have been my life saviour at night with my family eating cooked around me. I always feel great after having a big banana date smoothie.

 

Also my skin has been terrible these past couple of days (my skin is usually really good) and i have even been getting lots of pimples on my back and sweat pimples to, but im guessing thats just my body detoxing since im so new to this diet.

 

I would love to know your thoughts...answers...opinions :)

Dont undereat if you want to drop kg. Just eat unlimited sugar fruits and in unlimited meals according to your digestive capacity.

Cutting carb calories is a sure fire way to depression, eventual fatigue, lowered metabolism and attraction to stimulants/certain foods. 100% of the time.

Dizzy head? Sounds like low blood pressure which is primarily caused by undereating. Dehydration and not enough sleep and withdrawl from caffiene etc can also be a factor. I used to get it all the time when I was undereating via ignorance.

Take it from me Sammi! On this path the reality of undereating is the biggest threat of our health and fitness. Join the ranks of those feasting and thriving and smashing their own health and fitness goals. We will have more of a chat when we go for a spin eh? :)

NEVER CUT CARB CALORIES! :) Doesnt matter what source they are from, they are the ones that keep our glycogen levels stable and life sweet. Sweet fruit being of course the optimum choice.

The only time i've ever fainted in my life was about an hour after I had just exercised (quite intensely) and didn't eat or drink anything afterwards, it sounds to me like you may be either dehydrated or not eating enough fruit cals... I know u say you are eating enough but you are also working out a lot so it's likely you need more fruit. I also find the newer we are to this lifestyle initially the more fruit we need to eat consistently to keep our blood sugar levels stable.

Ironically I agree with DR on the calorie front :-)

I felt the same at the beginning (the fainting), and i could related it to being low on iron. Since i especially care to add greens and especially eat them at the same time as i eat stuff very rich in vitamin C (which is supposed to aid iron absorption. Still somehow debated. But why not give it a try?), i totally stopped feeling faint or tumbling after get up too fast.

So, add some more greens to your banana smoothies - you won't even notice them. One banana in any smoothie keeps the sweetness up it seems. And later/earlier in the day, combine some greens with orange for example. If you look in to the 801010 book, it seems that almost every salad made of greens has a dressing out of vitamin C-rich fruit, for example an orange.

Good luck! This really helped me with that issue, which i found a little scary as well as annoying.

Water is the key for me, i always feel dizzy and weak if i haven't had enough...
