Never heard of Halal before. I haven't watched the video, but these are very old ideas, in a world very different from today. Hygiene wasn't the same as it was back then. Food wasn't always available. In short, what worked back then doesn't necessarily work today.

Back then, it was all about hygiene, today its about global warming.  Its been scientifically proven the ocean will rise and kill thousands if we don't eat more environmentally friendly, mainly beef needs to be eliminated for climate change reasons.

My perception is that by eating environmentally disastrous foods you are causing global climate change which has already claimed the lives of many humans in the middle east. In short, you are breaking the sixth commandment thou shalt not kill. At least that is my opinion, others may have a different interpretation.

From the below links you can see that climate change is killing people, even if that's not the intent. As I see it 1st world countries over consumption was the cause of these people's deaths.

I watched the whole video. That guy has really big muscles. I couldn't understand everything due to his accent. Here's my interpretation of what he said.

You can't be extreme left supporting both animal rights and religions that support animal cruelty. Also, he is talking about immigration, and how other cultures are taking over Sweden. I have a friend from Norway, and the same problem persists in Norway. I don't know anything about kosher, sorry for my ignorance, but I though kosher was strictly a Judaism practice and not Islamic.

Anyways, I support animal rights, but for weird reasons. Basically I perceive global warming to be the biggest threat to humanity at the moment. If animal rights gets people to eat less meat awesome. As for the cruelty, I just don't know. Some days I'm against animal cruelty other days, I'm okay with it.

As I see it, its a harsh savage world and we have to do whatever we can just to survive. Why, complicate everything with additional morals? Then, I see the extravagance in my country, I'm like can't we set the bar a little higher? If we can afford for children to guzzle HFCS and then spend billions on medical expenses. Then, we can also afford higher living standards for animals.

"The study notes that when multiplied by the number of all obese 10-year-olds in the U.S. today, the lifetime medical costs for this age alone reaches roughly $14 billion." Michelle Healy, USA TODAY
