what would you like to do with your physical body when you leave this planet and why?
I could not open the link.
However I would like my ashes to be given to the wind and blown away. That symbolizes freedom to me.
thanks made thats a good idea id l;ike the same treatment with my remains : ) dust blowing in the wind i think theres an old song like that
Dust in the Wind. Kansas. You might have heard of them ;)
always be careful
Just throw me on the compost pile and cover me with mulch.
maybe we could sell you rawbert as "fruitarian dust" a super high mineral mulch product : )
its kinda a relief to know we will be reduced to dust ah yeah back to earth we go from ego dreaming
I predict he'll be the hottest seller at the subsequent Longevity Now conference ;)
we can fill your mouth with dirt and throw a little seed in there too just to make it more memorable LOL with your permission of course
permission granted Danny :)
I just watched k drama movie called penny pitchers, where the daughter put her mother's ashes around a tree. I don't believe in all of the burial last rights, it's a scam to get money. And after your immediate family dies who really cares that you are buried in that plot with a stone. I remember a grave yard in the woods where I grew up the stones were almost corroded away and the graves sunk in a bit. No one remembered who they were. My uncle found that plot when he was a kid and he went into the mortician profession and monument business, because he wanted to fix that grave yard. Before he could fix it some kids smashed the gravestones, so there is no longer a way to find out who is there. He is in the business for the people not the money, but not everyone is like that.
Giving your family a chance to morn and let go is important, but it should not cost as much as it does. Putting a financial strain on the living or having to save up to die instead of living is not right. Even just cremation is a good chunk of money.
well said dirtgirl no one cares about the dead bodies
what a waste of money that could be used productively i think forgetting about the bodies is a good thing we remember in the heart : )
seen in africa people spending so much money on graves its a big business everywhere even very poor places where so much is needed big is thrown away for boxes and stones
after a short time no one returns to grave sights much and who likes to be in those places ?
all these places could become fruit farms lots of land poorly used IMO
In some cultures the traditions on burial are long and drawn out. I forget what culture it was but there is one where the skeleton is stripped of all flesh then they bury them, but it's tradition to get the bones out and touch them to commune with the spirits of the dead.
Mummification took place in more places than Egypt.
It's interesting how different cultures bury their dead and says a lot about how they feel about death and the reasons that they live and how they live.
